Quality

Quality can only be achieved by a complete dedication to it by everyone on the team. Hiring a builder with decades of experience and a proven track record is the way to get there. Coach Duane Fanning once said “Little things make the difference. Everyone is well prepared in the big things, but only winners perfect the little things.”

This philosophy is why we created the process we use today. After utilizing every construction implementation method available, we ultimately learned that you can be a jack-of-all-trades but master of none. So instead of having a large, expensive staff, we have partnered with (and trained) the best talent in each field, and have them competitively price each project against another one of their contemporaries. This ensures two things: (1) that each client is getting the best tradesman for their project, and (2) each trade has submitted the most competitive price. Enjoy the posts below to see our promises turn into action.

Couch Mountain

Couch Mountain

Couch Mountain is a sustainable community that puts a focus on wellness for our residents and our environment. Here, you’ll find beautiful community gardens, miles of wooded trails, scenic mountain views, bees, chickens, and more.

We know that we are building for the future. With that in mind, we encourage you to incorporate renewable and green energy systems such as photovoltaic (solar), micro-wind generators, rain catchment for irrigation and geothermal assisted heating and cooling. You have the ability to design unique outdoor living areas that blend into the rock formations and rhododendron thickets, providing your family the opportunity to take full advantage of the beauty and tranquility of the Blue Ridge Mountains. At Couch Mountain, wellness and sustainability are our focus, now and for the future.

The Farm at Mills River

The Farm at Mills River

The word community means a lot more in Mills River than beautiful houses in a safe, scenic location. Community is about heart and home. The Western North Carolina Appalachian culture is famous for its warmth and hospitality: Southern charm and mountain sensibilities.
Coming home to The Farm at Mills River embodies that feeling – being accepted and made welcome. What you’ll find here, you won’t find anywhere else. It’s a sense of comfort so deeply engrained into the land and its people that even the most world-weary souls can be at peace.

Aging is Hip in the Mountains

It is often said in our household (particularly on birthdays) that “you are only as old as you feel”. The truth of the matter is that we are all aging-in-place every day. Most Gen X’ers have (or are currently) dealing with aging parents and their living situations. So...
